Here is a recipe from my childhood called Chocolate Gravy. My mom would fix this from breakfast for us as a treat. She always served it with warm biscuits and butter. Hope you enjoy it as much as we have.
1 1/2 cups of sugar
3 tablespoons of cocoa
3 tablespoons of flour
2 1/2 to 3 cups of water
touch of vanilla (about a 1/4 to 1/2 teaspoon)
Place all ingredents in a sauce pan and bring to a boil. It will not be thick like white gravy, but will be a nice thick sauce consistance. Can also be used over ice cream, cakes, just about anything that you like chocolate sauce over. But over warm biscuits, it is the best.
I have always heard of chocolate gravy, but was not anything my mother ever served. Bet it's awesome!
